Terms of Use

Last updated: 12 June 2026 · Please read alongside our Privacy Policy

These terms are a straightforward agreement between you and BlowIns ("we", "us") covering your use of blowins.com and the BlowIns Student Passport. By creating a passport or using the site, you're agreeing to them.

BlowIns is currently a prototype. The listings, scholarships, profiles and jobs shown on results pages are sample data, included to demonstrate how matching will work. Don't make financial or housing decisions based on a sample listing. When real, verified inventory goes live, we'll say so clearly on the page.

1. What BlowIns is (and isn't)

BlowIns matches rural and regional students to housing, scholarships, people and part-time work, ranked by fit against the constraints in your Student Passport. We are a matching and information service:

2. Your account

3. Fair dinkum use

BlowIns is built by blow-ins, for blow-ins. Don't be the reason we need more rules. Specifically, you agree not to:

If you do, we can suspend or close your account. If another student makes you feel unsafe, email blowinsenquiries@gmail.com. A human reads it, and we act on it.

4. Your content, our content

Your passport stays yours. You give us permission to use it for one purpose: running BlowIns and matching you, as set out in the Privacy Policy. Everything else (the site, the design, the matching logic, the BlowIns name and logo) belongs to us, and these terms don't transfer any of it to you.

5. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Beyond those rights:

Common sense still applies on your end too: inspect properties (in person or by video) before paying anyone, never transfer bond to an unverified account, and be careful meeting people from the internet. Meet in public the first time.

6. Ending things

You can close your account whenever you like, and we'll delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms, and we can wind back or change features of the prototype as we build.

7. Changes and the law

If we change these terms materially, we'll flag it on this page and by email before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes belong in the courts of NSW.
